What am I gonna do until September? I want to cook so bad. TheSlabs.com are going to Iowa this weekend. I get to stay home even though it's going to be 75 as the high and 54 as the low? They are biotches. Anyone need an extra member to cook with them? Lol. Good luck this weekend to all the teams cooking.

We are now in Great Bend, KS. Going to party this weekend. Need a break because Lenexa is tooooooooooo hot. So is Great Bend I hear. Good luck to all BBQers this weekend. Hope each and everyone of you teams get a call.

Raytown, MO BBQ Contest

This past weekend was the 20th annual Raytown BBQ Contest. There were 60 teams including TheSlabs.com, I Smell Smoke, Dead End Smokers, and of course us. This being a hometown contest, I was excited to be close to home, having my friends come down and see me and chit chat. Even getting some help from my friend Kayce Long, who helped us wash dishes. So Friday started out like every bbq contest friday. We arrive at the bbq site which was great. It rained all week and when we got out there friday, it was dry, which made us happy. The contest reps were very helpful and always asking us if we needed anything. Thanks Jack, BOOTS, and Mark. The contest organizers did a really great job with the new revenue and getting everything as great as possible. The contest being at a new place worried me because I wondered if it would be clustered or not enough places for electricity but all in all, a great contest. All of the food was good. Everything got cooked, turned in and judged. Here is how everything faired.
